Barry Wellman
Barry Wellman is a Canadian-american Sociologist who collaborated with Lee Rainie in writing the book Networked: The New Social Operating System. He was born in 1942 and attended Lafayette College as well as Harvard to receive his degree. Currently, he is the director of the Netlab at the Faculty of Information located at the University of Toronto.

Lee Rainie
Lee Rainie is the director of PEW Research Center's Internet Project as well as the Managing editor of US News and World Report. Rainie spends his time researching the new ways in which the internet socially impacts users of the internet.
